Tigercity, the new Hall and Oates

Oh, Hall and Oates what have you done to me?

You’ve made me want your spirit to fly and soar like an eagle throughout all of nowadays music.  Maybe you have in touches, maybe.

This group has a touch of that awesome pop/guitar/synth goodness that you guys did so very well in your heyday.

It’s these kinds of albums I can drive down the road on a sunny day with the windows down and not be afraid to scream out singing along going “whoaaa whoaaaohhh ohhh”

I love it and I want more music to sound like this.  At least enough to keep me happy and there is.  It’s got a touch of Chromeo too, that funk and soul stuff.  This is their first ep and it’s fantastic, so cheery and fun and great.  I listened to it all day at home then in the car and now at work.

These guys are from Northhampton, MA and I guess got really really good making homemade demos and so much that they made a name for themselves moved to Brooklyn and set up shop even toured with bands I dig like Sareena Maneesh and M.I.A

I know I know, I’ve got such an obsession for 80’s that I keep putting up stuff that sounds like it so much, this is really good though, it bridges gaps that may separate 80’s unenthusiasts with their pro funk skills.  These are lovely little love pop gems that are danceable catchy and fun.  And I’m guessing this ep is gearing up for their big first lp release which is very exciting I’m sure if it’s anything like these songs I’ll be first in line.
